We invite families to join us at our Open Weekend on Saturday, 5 and Sunday, 6 October 2024. Take the opportunity to view our School campus, meet our inspiring teachers and discover a world of opportunities at St Leonards.
Whole School Open Morning – Saturday, 5 October 2024
We invite all ages to join us for our Open Morning on Saturday, 5 October from 9:30am, where you will be welcomed by our Head, Mr Simon Brian. You can then enjoy an individual tour of the whole School with our pupil guides, followed by refreshments in St Katharines Hall. Here, you will have the opportunity to meet key member of staff including Curriculum Leads and the Executive team. The event will finish at 12.00 noon.
Boarding Open Event – Sunday, 6 October 2024
On Sunday, 6 October, we invite families interested in boarding at St Leonards to join us for a tour of our boarding houses, from 10:00am. Meet the dedicated boarding team and students from around the world to experience the welcoming community and unique atmosphere that make St Leonards a true ‘home away from home’. The event will finish at 12 noon.

We invite you and your family to join us for our Autumn Term Open Event, offering a true insight into what makes St Leonards such a special place. The programme showcases many aspects of school life and gives you a taste of the educational experience we offer every student, from the youngest in our Junior School to the young adults preparing for university and beyond.

10.00am | Tours of the School Campus (Senior and Junior)
Our current pupils will guide you through the school, where you’ll meet teachers and students across various academic subjects.
From 11.00am | Refreshments in St Katharines Hall (Junior School)
Freshly prepared by our catering team. Meet our Admissions Team for information on joining the school and also our new Scholarships and Bursaries for 2025 entry.
During the morning, there are plenty of opportunities to witness some snapshots of music, drama and sport….
10.00 – 10.30am | Auditorium
Captivating solo performances from some of our talented musicians. Everyone is welcome to come along and listen!
10.00 – 11.45am | Shackleton Drama Centre
Step into our drama centre to witness students rehearse ‘Eight Storeys of Love and Heartbreak’, an original comedic production with a twist, written by Mrs Nickie McQuade-Powell, our Head of Drama. Fabulous costumes, theatrical props and passionate thespians await!
10.00 – 11.45am | Sports on the Astro
Cheer on our pupils’ Sports Teams on the Astro and Big Field, while sipping hot drinks from the Refreshingly St Leonards mobile café

Sunday 6 October | Boarding Life at St Leonards
10.00am – 12.00pm
Discover the true Scottish boarding experience at St Leonards. Our boarding programme offers a stepping stone to university and beyond, helping students build personal confidence, life skills and independence. Boarding is a very special aspect of our School Community and you will have the opportunity during your tour to visit Bishopshall, one of our boarding houses, during our Saturday morning opening.
For those who are particularly interested in exploring options for flexible, weekly or full boarding, there will be a special and separate event on Sunday 6 October from 10.00am – 12.00pm with a presentation by the Head of Boarding and introductions to boarding pupils and the boarding team. Join us for coffee and croissants and learn more about our boarding experience, where students find a true home away from home.
